CLEAR scoring: a defensible grade for every page

CLEAR scoring gives you a letter grade to put in front of leadership and the exact dimensions dragging each page down. Audaeo scores every page from 0 to 100 across five dimensions, from two views at once: how a human buyer reads it and how an AI agent parses it. The gap between the two views is your work list.

How does CLEAR scoring work?

Audaeo reads each page the way an answer engine does, then scores it across the five CLEAR dimensions. Every dimension gets a human-lens score and an AI-agent-lens score, and the two combine into one page grade. Here is the scorecard for one page. A human reads the brand fine, but the AI-agent scores sit lower, which is where the work is.

What do the two views tell you?

The radar overlays the human scores and the AI-agent scores on one shape. Where the two shapes diverge, the page reads better to people than to engines, and that divergence is the prioritized fix list. A tight overlap means the page works for both audiences.

What do you get?

  • A letter grade you can take to a leadership meeting, backed by a per-dimension breakdown.
  • The specific dimension pulling each page down, so a fix has an address instead of a guess.
  • One number per page and per site that you can re-run and watch move over time.

Where does it fit in CLEAR?

Scoring is the readout for the whole framework. It reports Credibility, whether a page reads clean to a person and parses clean to an agent, and Evidence, whether claims carry proof an engine can extract. Leverage, Alignment, and Responsiveness round out the score, so one number reflects all five dimensions.

Common questions about CLEAR scoring

What does a CLEAR score measure?

It measures how well a page works for two audiences at once: a human buyer and an AI answer engine. Each of the five dimensions is scored from both views, so a page that reads well to a person but parses badly to a machine shows a visible gap.

What is a good AEO score?

Audaeo grades on the same bands the product uses everywhere: A is 85 and up, B is 70 to 84, C is 55 to 69, D is 40 to 54, and F is below 40. The launch bar for a site optimized for AI is an A site-wide with no page below B.

Why score from two perspectives?

Because a page can look clean to a person and still be unreadable to an engine, with specs locked in images, claims with no schema, and no answer-first structure. The gap between the human score and the AI score is exactly where citations are lost.

How many pages get scored?

The free audit scores ten pages. The Full Site tier scores up to 500. Every scored page gets its own grade and dimension breakdown, and the site rolls those into one overall grade.
